ABUJA-KADUNA TRAIN ATTACK: Bandits Kill Freed Abuja Train Passenger, Abduct Relative

One of the recently rescued victims of ABUJA – Kaduna Train Attack has been killed by Suspected armed bandits along Funtua-Gusau Highway last Saturday October 8, 2022.

He was killed while on his way to his home town in Kebbi state alongside his relatives who were reunited with him by authorities in Kaduna after being rescued by military troops

One of the relatives driving the vehicle was also abducted by the terrorists to an unknown destination

The Victim was among the over six hundred passengers on board ABUJA – Kaduna train attacked by terrorists on march 28th this year in Kaduna

The last batch of the Kidnap Victims whom the deceased was among regain their freedom last week after Six months in Captivity

A Source close to the family who pleaded anonymity says the victim was earlier shot on his head by Gunmen who laid ambush on the ever busy Funtua – Gusau road

He was said to have died a few hours after he was rushed to Tsafe General Hospital, along same highway

He has since been buried in his hometown Kebbi state according to Islamic rites

 

 

The resurgence of attack along the Funtua- Gusau Highway many says may not be unconnected to the recent arrest of one of the wives of a Notorious Bandit Kingpin known as Dankarami by security operatives

One of the wives of the Bandit Leader was arrested by security operatives last week in Gusau, the capital of Zamfara State

Dankarami is a Notorious Bandit Leader terrorising Communities in Zurmi local government area and surrounding villages.

The late passenger whose name has not been revealed was released by the Ansarul Faction of the Boko Haram Terrorists after spending over 180 days in captivity.

He was abducted along several Others after an IED and gun attack on the Abuja-Kaduna passenger Train on the 28th of March near Rigasa in Kaduna State.

8 of the passengers were killed during the attack while several Others were abducted and freed allegedly after paying ransom through negotiations led by Tukur Mamu who has also been arrested by the DSS for allegedly being a Terrorist financier and facilitator.
