
Another fresh attack has happened in kwara again just few days after church attack as suspected bandits kill two farmers and abducted a teenage boy in Bokungi community in Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The incident occurred between 6:30 pm and 7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 as the farmers were working on their rice farmlands during the harvest period.
It was gathered that the victims were at their farmlands to retrieve harvested rice when the bandits struck.
According to a member of the community, four individuals including a vigilante operative were initially accosted.

The attackers killed two victims on the spot and inflicted severe fractures and machete wounds on a third individual.
Before fleeing, the bandits confiscated a Bajaj motorcycle that had recently been distributed to the vigilantes by the local government chairman to aid in security patrols.
The attack has thrown the Bokungi community into a state of panic, marking a devastating conclusion to the harvest season for the victims’ families.
The incident highlights the growing vulnerability of farmers and residents in rural Kwara communities who are essential to the state’s agricultural output but remain targets for criminal elements.
