THE founder of Arubiewe foundation, a philanthropic organization that caters for the welfare of the people at the grassroots, and the group Chairman of Mutual Benefits Assurance, Dr Akinade Akanmu Ogunbiyi, has formally declared his intention to contest the 2026 governorship election in Osun state.
Declaring his ambition and full determination to come onboard as the governor of Osun State under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Akanmu Ogunbiyi stated that he has the capacity and capability to serve as the Governor of Osun State when one looks at his pedigree.
Addressing a mammoth crowd at Ileogbo, the headquarters of Ayedire Local government area of Osun State, Dr Akanmu Ogunbiyi assured the people of Osun State that everyone would feel the positive impact of the APC government if he wins the party’s ticket as a governorship candidate, and the party wins the 2026 election eventually.
The Insurance magnate confirmed that the people of Iwo in particular and the entire Federal Constituency, have fully consented in unison to support him, so that he would emerge as the APC candidate for the 2026 Osun State governorship election.
When asked whether or not there were things to improve upon if elected as the governor of Osun State, Dr Ogunbiyi declared “surely there are things to improve upon, when one looks at the present situation in Osun state “.
“There are new ideas to generate in the areas of agriculture, youth empowerment, qualitative education gainful employment and human resource training “.
Party leaders and supporters across Osun West Senatorial District, traditional rulers and religious groups were in attendance at the occasion.
