THE Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has declared one Olumide Adeboye Adediran wanted for evading arrest in the United States in 2001.
Adediran was reportedly “standing trial on charges of bank fraud, identity fraud, and credit card fraud.”
Adediran, also known by numerous aliases including Kevin Olumide Adediran, Eric O. Williams, Stephen Dediyi, and Maxo Alexandre, is accused of bank fraud, identity document fraud, and unauthorised credit card transactions.
“The FBI is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the capture of Nigerian national Olumide Adebiyi Adediran, who has been evading authorities for nearly two decades.
Adediran fled the U.S. in 2001 before standing trial on charges of bank fraud, identity fraud, and credit card fraud.
The renewed search comes amid intensified U.S. efforts to dismantle Nigerian-linked cybercrime networks.
Recently, the FBI pursued UK-based Nigerian fraudster Ajibola Oduntan over multimillion-naira ticket scams and secured the extradition of four other Nigerians in June 2023 for wire fraud and identity theft.”
Anyone with information about Adediran’s whereabouts is urged to contact their local FBI office, the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate, or submit a tip anonymously through the FBI’s website.
