INSIDE LIFE: 91-year-old Emir of Daura marries  22-year-old girl

The Emir of Daura, Alhaji Faruk Umar Faruk, has married a 22-year-old lady, A’isha Yahuza Gona.

According to SOJ WORLDWIDE, the wedding was held in Safana town of Katsina State.

It was gathered that the Emir tied the knot at a lowkey ceremony after a brief courtship which lasted only one week.

The bride is a daughter of Alhaji Yahuza Gona, former local government chairman of Safana.

Another source told DSOJ WORLDWIDE that the bride was already in her new home with her husband in Daura.

The emir who celebrated his 15-year-old on throne earlier this year was reported to have wedded a 20-year-old lady in December, 2021.

Reports had it that the monarch paid N1 million dowry to the bride, and she is a daughter of a high ranking traditional title holder in Katsina.

It was said that the Emir has married not less than four young wives in the past few years, having divorced all his three wives to pick a new four set of wives.
