A lady caused a scene at a popular ATM Gallery in EKITI at the weekend in the presence of the people, she flared up telling the man to pay her her dues.

She said,
“give me my money, after three days from Abuja you refused to pay me. Are you mad you better give me my money. Do you think it is easy?”
The man thought the lady was joking until she gave him a dirty slap and removed his sandals. After removing the sandals, she went away with it with a threat that the man has not seen anything yet.

There was no evidence of any “3- day-pounding” involved in this case and video was shared as embellished by this poster. A more careful and balanced analysis shows the man is somehow indebted to the lady in question but too indigent or reluctant to make an instant payment as demanded. It appears the man has been telling different stories or has been trying to meet the commitment for the past 3 days or there is another reason he did not want to make that payment because making the payment could sever the relationship between the two forever. .it could have even been a joint business venture between the two of them that was yet to come to fruition and the lady has been impatient asking for immediate payment due to some other events spring up . . Anyone who understands Yoruba and the exchanges between the two will attest to that.
That man couldn’t pay and is really shocked at the lady’s actions who doesn’t look like a sex worker or prostitute. and who appeared as someone well-known to the man.
That man is likely to have got something or some items on credit and couldn’t meet the payment date. That does not mean however that she should have resulted in a public assault. If the man decided to press a charge for the assault and impounding of his personal property including his wallet .that woman may be in for some surprise.
The guy maintained a high level of maturity still. There are better ways to recover a debt and we also know there is a lot going on these days. The country is hard for the majority and some things are better than money which comes and goes on a daily basis. That lady should have been more civil.
This reporter tried to create a joke out of that serious matter without any concrete lessons shared in the story. Waste of time for such stories. I will probably title this anger management amidst provocation.
