Dami’s Version of Events
According to Dami, she visited Sanmi to get a tattoo. She alleged that while drawing the tattoo, Sanmi removed her clothing and put his mouth on her breast without consent.
The allegation quickly gained traction online and triggered widespread outrage.
Sanmi Responds With Counterclaims
Sanmi later released a 9-minute video presenting a different version of events.
He stated that he had advertised for a tattoo model and that Dami volunteered. According to him, Dami personally chose the tattoo placement around her cleavage, and the tattoo was done free of charge.
Sanmi claimed that his brother was present in the house throughout the session and insisted that no inappropriate act occurred.

Sanmi further alleged that after the session ended, Dami returned with three men who claimed to be police officers.
He said the men immediately began beating him and later demanded ₦50,000 and a forced apology to Dami.
According to Sanmi, he later discovered the men were not police officers but Lead City bike men.
After further assault, he agreed to pay ₦20,000 and apologized, despite maintaining his innocence.
Landlord Intervention and CCTV Footage
Sanmi said his landlord, who reportedly saw the incident on CCTV, intervened and advised him to report the matter to the police.
He also claimed this was not the first time Dami had accused a man, though this claim has not been independently verified.
Dami Releases Video Evidence
In response, Dami later released a video showing Sanmi holding her breast while drawing the tattoo, which she presented as proof of harassment.
The video reignited debate, with many Nigerians divided over whether the contact was professional due to tattoo placement or inappropriate.
Public Reaction and Legal Next Steps
Public opinion remains sharply divided. While some insist that alleged victims must be believed, others condemn mob justice and insist that allegations must be tested in court.
Sanmi has now announced plans to take legal action. No court has issued a ruling as of the time of this report.
For now, Nigerians wait as the legal process unfolds.
