From the information made available to SOJWORLD.COM at the end of the stakeholders meeting, we gathered that all the aspirants have agreed to participate in the primary election tomorrow to fulfill all righteousness.
This was against the backdrop that it was glaring to them that everything was done to favour a particular anointed candidate.
When SOJWORLD.COM visited the campaign office of one of the aspirants at 6pm, he was said to be at APC Headquarters at Ogo-Oluwa holding a crucial meeting with NWC along with others.
Our reporter had to wait till 7.45pm to know if some of the aspirants would boycott the election.
When the aspirant finally came he said, “We will participate, although we are aware that the election had already been concluded as I am taking to you.”

He continued, “…they said we should get our party agent names ready for submission before 9pm today.”
We could see a fire-brigade approach in its form when the aspirant ordered his supporters to start arranging for party agents in the entire wards for an election that will hold from 8.00am tomorrow. The venue of the election is not known to voters as at the time of filing this report.
This was the experience with all other candidates in the state.
Little wonder when Hon Kunle Rasheed Adegoke said the primary had been “compromised” to favour an anointed candidate.
In his welcome address, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege who represented Governor Abubakar Yari read the guidelines to the press and the aspirants for the first time without any register to determine the total numbers of eligible voters giving rooms for manipulations.

The Primary Election Committee chaired by the representative of Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege Delta Central representing H.E. Abdul’aziz Abubakar Yari, Governor of Zamafara State, and stakeholders of Osun 2018 governorship election held at the APC Party Secretariat Ogo-Oluwa Osogbo.
WE ARE DOING DIRECT PRIMARY – HON OVIE OMO-AGEGE
“The committee is a panel of five members; I stand here for the Chairman, the governor of Zamfara State. We have just one single term of reference which is to conduct a free, fair and transparent primary election strictly in line with the party Constitution and guidelines.
“We intend to abide strictly with the terms given to us by the NWC. We are very neutral. We come here today with an open mind. We are not here to impose any candidate.
“As far as the guidelines are concerned, we have a committee of five and in addition to that, we also have a committee of five for every Local Government Area and another three man committee at the ward level.
“Who is eligible to vote? For anyone to qualify to vote:

1. He or she must be a registered member of the party.
2 His or her name must appear on the register of members of the party.
3. He or she must present himself or herself physically at the ward where he or she is registered to vote.
4. He or she must be accredited on presentation of a valid voter’s card or membership card.
“I want to appeal to everybody, let us conduct ourselves with decorum because at the end of the day whoever emerges will need the support of the others. We should carry ourselves in such a way that we eschew bitterness so that it will not be difficult to carry everyone along during the general election.”- Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege Delta Central –
This was the situation as at the time of filing this report.
