Osun Police Parades Medical Doctor, Two Others For Armed Robbery, Murder

The Osun State Police command on Tuesday, 6th September 2022 paraded three suspected armed robbers who killed their victims in the process of dispossessing them of their belongings.

One of the suspects named ABASS ADIO 36 years was apprehended for killing a Taxi Driver in Benin, Edo State on the 3rd of September 2022, the suspect claimed to be a Medical Doctor in one of the hospitals in Kwara state.

In the same vein, two murder suspects named Wahab Hammed 28 years, and Adegoke Ayobami 31 years were also paraded for killing a friend whom they claimed was making much money from ‘YAHOO YAHOO’ illicit business.

The two suspects were friends with the deceased, it was made known that they were internet  fraudsters popularly known as “YAHOO YAHOO”

The Public Relations Officer SP Yemisi Opalola revealed to Journalists, that upon a distress call received from Edo State Police Command that, a Toyota Camry car was snatched from Benin and tracked to Osun State.

She stated that Police Command swiftly put security mechanism in place and the said car was intercepted along Ejigbo/Ogbomoso road while the occupant, Adio was arrested.

“During the preliminary investigation, the suspect claimed to be a medical doctor working in one of the hospitals in Kwara State.

“The suspect, who travelled from Kwara State to Benin in Edo State sometimes in the Month of July this year, met one Emmanuel Oyiobo, a taxi driver who was driving him for the days he spent in Benin. Thereafter, the suspect and the deceased became friends and exchanged phone numbers and have been communicating since then.

 

“The suspect communicated to his friend (victim) in Benin that he wanted to sell his Car and they agreed that the suspect should bring the Car to Benin where it was sold for one million four hundred thousand naira only. (#1.4m).

“The suspect in the course of his stay in Benin after selling his Car tricky  injected his friend (deceased) with a substance suspected to have killed him on 03/09/2022. He subsequently dumped his corpse in a nearby bush and made away with his white Toyota Camry muscle.”

The suspect will be charged to court as soon as the investigation is concluded.

She then proceeded to the later case in which a man was killed and dumped in a bush by both Ayobami and Wahab over money related issues.

 

 

SHE SAID:

“On 7/8/2022, about 1740hrs a case of a missing person was reported at ‘B’ Division Modakeke and an immediate preliminary investigation was carried out and one Wahab Hammed friend to the missing person one Oguntade Wasiu now deceased was arrested in connection with the case.”

“Consequently, the case was transferred to the Anti-Robbery section of the Command State Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation and swiftly the team extended its investigation tentacles to the Alaro area of Modakeke where one Adegoke Ayobami was arrested on 12/8/22.

“The investigation further revealed that the suspects and the victim were friends and internet fraudsters popularly called ‘yahoo boys’ and having discovered the deceased always making money more than them, the duo conspired and lured their friend (the deceased) to an uncompleted building in a remote part of Alaro area, Modakeke in a bid to collect money from him and in the course of struggle he was killed.”

“The suspects made away with the victim’s motorcycle which was recovered from the second suspect’s house. The suspects will be charged to court as soon as the investigation is concluded.
