A Federal High Court in Abuja has fixed November 20, 2025 for judgment in the terrorism trial of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Kanu had been given six days to conduct his defence but failed to do so, prompting Justice James Omotosho to rule that he had waived his right to defend himself.

The prosecution had urged the court to deliver judgment, arguing that Kanu was only interested in wasting the court’s time.

Kanu lashed out at the Judge, saying “You can’t convict me, are you insane? I’m Nnamdi Kanu, they’ve not giving birth to the person that’ll jail me…”
