This Saturday afternoon a video ostensibly emanating from Channels Television hits the social media where it was alleged that the wife of the governor of Ondo State, Mrs Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu was injured by some hoodlums.

The video was released same time Mrs Akeredolu was with her husband when Channel TV. was conducting interview with him.
Investigation revealed that the video was doctored by some unscrupulous elements.
The video was doctored from a House Representatives election held in one of the South-South states in 2018.

In an exclusive interview with Channels Television, she condemned the claims and described it as a mark of desperation by politicians who are afraid that her husband is winning.
“It’s a mark of desperation. They have sensed a failure. It is like someone drowning and you want to drag a straw, they will definitely drown. I just hope that we could play politics in a more polished manner with some elements of civility.”
