WRESTLING: WWE Plans Interactive Experience Live Show For Fans

This year’s World Wrestling Entertainment, WWE will not only hold Summer Slam pay-per-view event but will hold other events from the Amway Centre in Orlando. Florida.

On Thursday, Mike Johnson of Pwinsider.com reported that “WWE is, for the first time, toying with using virtual fans as a possibility for future broadcasts, including SummerSlam.”

WrestleVotes sent out a tweet on Friday in which more details about WWE using virtual fans were provided. WWE plans to use LED boards where the fans will appear live on the show.

The plan is to open applications next week for fans to appear on-screen during the live shows. This is being done because states won’t allow fans to attend sporting events and concerts due to COVID-19. It appears that this is the closest that Vince McMahon can get for right now to have fans be part of his programming.

The NBA has used this idea for its games when they recently started the season. You can see the report below:

“As part of WWE’s new long term residency at the Amway Center, a new interactive experience will be introduced with over 2500 sq ft of LED boards, where fans will appear LIVE on the show, hosted by Superstars & Legends. Applications to appear on screen will open next week.”
