GOVERNORSHIP candidate of ACCORD in Osun State, Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi on Thursday, March 19, 2022 declared that he is coming to govern Osun with newness and freshness of ideas for the benefit of entire people of Osun.

Ogunbiyi made the statement when delegations from Liberia paid him a courtesy visit to show gratitude to him for his supportive roles in Liberia through his investments.
The delegates of four were welcomed to the Accord Secretariat in Osogbo by party leaders with a brief meeting where they advised voters in Osun not to miss the opportunity of voting for Ogunbiyi as the next Governor of the state.
The guests was led by Ambassador (Prof.) Dew Tuan-Wleh Mayson and his wife, another technocrat and DJ Constantine representing the physically challenged in Liberia.
Amb. Mayson said Ogunbiyi brought the Mutual Benefits Assurance to Liberia from the scratch in 1996, the investment, he said, has become the leading insurance company in the country today.
He donated substantial amount of money on behalf of the team for the running expenses of the campaign in support of their partner.

“Make the right choice by voting for Ogunbiyi,” he said.
He said Liberia is yet to recover from the pains of 14 years civil war in the country. He therefore advised Nigerians to maintain unity and peace because war is not an option.
The Accord candidate, Ogunbiyi said he will keep the state running from Day One to turn around the economy.
Ogunbiyi said he went to Liberia in 1996 with Mutual Benefits Asurance when people were asking why are you going to Liberia?
He went further that, love pushed him into the governorship race.
In a corporate world, he said he is a giant.

“What we lacked here is love and good leadership. We have leaders who didn’t care about the masses.”
“The only reason am coming for this task is the welfare of the Osun residents.”
“When you think of security, it is not just Boko Haram, Farmers/ Herders clash but we need food security, job security too.”
He made reference to agricultural revolution like what Awo used to achieve excellence in his time. He said agriculture is the bedrock of economic development and growth, he will revolutionize it and use it as a weapon against joblessness, poverty and lack.
“We have what is needed to develop Osun.. I will give education utmost priority.”
“We will go for income generation from Day One.”

In reference to one of the governorship candidate in Osun who boasted that he is coming with Dollars, Sterlings and Euros for Osun residents.
Ogunbiyi said,
“Osun is not for sale, my reign will bring peace, development and growth. I will not come to Osun to destroy my name and integrity.”
Physically challenged entertainer, DJ Constantine who represented the National Commission for Disabilities in Liberia entertained the guests with beautiful reggae number to honor Dr Ogunbiyi to the applause of all party members.
