The political family of the All Progressives Party in Edo State fell apart on Friday after the ruling APC disqualified the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki from contesting the governorship primaries under it.

Obaseki, whom this reporter was told had been hobnobbing with the opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party recently has formally decamped from the APC to PDP immediately after his disqualification.
He collected his membership card at Ward 4, Oredo Local Government.

It was gathered that the governor is moving into the PDP with all the 18 Local Government Chairmen in Edo State together with 12 lawmakers in the State Assembly.
Also, Governors of the PDP are billed to visit him this weekend.
