FORMER Chairman of Irewole Local Government and a former member of the Osun State House of Assembly. Hon. Gbadebo Oyejide is dead.
The sad news was announced by Senator Lere Oyewunmi on his official x.com Page monitored by SOJ WORLDWIDE on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.
While mourning the departed soul, he said he died in Ibadan leaving good legacies and contributions to his community development.
“I join the people of Ikire and the entire Osun State in mourning the passing of Hon. Gbadebo Oyejide, former Chairman of Irewole Local Government and a former member of the Osun State House of Assembly. Hon. Oyejide passed away in Ibadan, leaving behind a legacy of devoted service and enduring contributions to the development of our communities.
His death is a significant loss—not only to his family and loved ones but also to the people of Ikire and Osun State, who benefited from his leadership and commitment to grassroots progress.
He was a passionate, principled, and dedicated public servant whose efforts in governance and community upliftment will not be forgotten.
The vacuum left by his passing is deeply felt across our political and civic landscape. I pray that God, in His infinite mercy, forgives his shortcomings and grants him eternal rest.
