The Supreme Court on Monday morning dismissed the appeal challenging the election of the Sokoto State governor, Aminu Tambiwal.
The petition was filed by the All Progressives (APC) Governorship candidate, Ahmed Aliyu.

In a unanimous judgment delivered by Justice Uwani Abba-Aji, the apex court dismissed the appeal on the ground that the appellant failed to prove his allegation of non-compliance with the electoral act and issues of over-voting.
The Supreme Court also affirmed the election of the Kano State governor, Abdullahi Ganduje..
