Car thief meets waterloo trying to steal a car from a Church in Akwa Ibom (SEE PHOTOS)

A young man was caught red handed trying to steal a Toyota Camry from a church in Afaha Oku, Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital on Sunday, April 24.

It was gathered that the suspect succeeded in unlocking the car with a master key and was about to abscond with it when he was caught, severely beaten and handed over to the Police.

Suspected thief nabbed while attempting to steal car from church in Akwa Ibom

According to an eyewitness, Oduononwi Abidiak, the car belongs to a visitor who came for a child dedication service. His report below:

“God today prove Himself a mighty God at Hill Top Church of Christ Afaha Oku, Uyo as he put to shame the devil.

“The pictures you are seeing here shown a young guy who almost absconded with a Toyota Camry belonging to a visitor who join us at HillTop Church of Christ, Afaha Oku for a child dedication service while service was ongoing. He was caught after he succeeded unlocking the car with a master key and trying to move.

“He was invaded by the youth of the community, who beat him to coma and almost burn him up if not for the intervention of the church who alerted men of Nigerian police. He has been handedover to the Nigerian police. To the Glory of God he was disappointed”
