FORMER Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs under the Rauf Aregbesola administration in Osun State, Barrister Kolapo Alimi has decamped from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
It was gathered that following his defection, Alimi has been appointed as Deputy Director General, Ademola Adeleke Campaign Organisation.
His appointment was confirmed by the Director General of the Campaign Council, Hon. Sunday Bisi.
Alimi confirmed his own defection to PDP in his reaction to newsmen,
“Yes, it’s correct. I’m now a bonafide member of PDP and I have been appointed as Deputy Director General, Senator Ademola Adeleke
Alimi was a prominent antagonist of the administration of the Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola in The Osun Progressives (TOP), a rival group within the Osun APC.
