One of the victims who experienced the massacres allegedly carried out by the Fulani herdsmen on Monday night in Ishielu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State narrated her horrible experience they suffered when the invaders attacked their community.
While Punch correspondent was interviewing some of the survivors that survived the brutal attack, a woman who didn’t reveal her name made it known that they were the first set of people that fell victims of the attack even though they were not killed.
She made it known that while she was coming back from market, she took a motorcycle along with another woman and when they got to a secluded place, fulani men who have already surrounded their community in the afternoon came out of the bush with guns and daggers and beat them inside the bush they came out of.
She further made it known when they got inside the bush, they started beating them again and when they became satisfied, they ordered the women to lie down, while the motorcyclist that took them was still been beaten and all of a sudden, one of the Fulani men brought out his dagger and stabbed him on his stomach, of which he fell down and died.
She said while she was lying down, she started praying loudly and ceaselessly and after they killed the motorcyclist, the same man wanted to start stabbing them while still lying down but, the other one told him to stop, as he ordered him not to touch them.
After that, the assailants left them alone and when they came out, it was then they realized the disaster that was happening to their community and they fled inside the bush back.
However, while she was further narrating, she made it known the people were fulani men and that, residents of that community chased some herdsmen who were destroying farmers’ farmlands out of the community and it was after the incident that they came back to carry out the deadly attack.
