FEDERAL Ministry of Labour and Productivity Staff are lamenting over non payment of their June 2025 salary even when July has almost ended.

A staff of the ministry who spoke with SOJ WORLDWIDE on condition of anonymity said all workers under the ministry were affected.

According to him, the affected staff are the ones using the Zenith Bank, he added that account of staff of other MDAs were credited between Monday and Friday last week.

Speaking on behalf of other staff of the ministry, he is calling on the Accountant General of the Federation to intervene because,

“At least, we all know that salary is barely enough to sustain us, yet to further compound that by withholding pay due to internal bottlenecks or unethical expectations is  just unfair—it is a betrayal of the very people who serve this ministry faithfully every day.”

He lamented the waiting game and the prolonged delay, even more troubling is the silence of

 “those in positions of authority within the Ministry seem unable—or unwilling—to provide any clear answers.”

“This practice must end. Our Union must see this as a call to action. The delay is growing into something deeper.” He said.
