PROCESS of official defection of Honourable Oluwole Oke is ongoing in a closed-door meeting with APC Chairman, Ward 7 Esa Oke, SOJ WORLDWIDE can authoritatively confirm.
His defection was as result of his formal resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party on Wednesday, April 23, 2024.
In a Press State Statement by the Wole Oke Media and Communication available to SOJ WORLDWIDE, the statement confirmed the engagement of the lawmaker representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency to set machinery in motion to continue his usual relationship with his constituents under the APC platform.

“Honorable Oluwole Oke, a distinguished six-term lawmaker representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency in Osun State, recently resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after extensive consultations with his political associates, family, and friends.
His resignation letter was addressed to the PDP Chairman in Ward 7, Obokun Local Government Area, dated April 16, 2025, and took immediate effect.
Following this resignation, Hon. Wole Oke is currently engaging in a closed-door meeting with the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman of Ward 7, Esa Oke, where he is to formally pick up his APC party membership card.
This event will signify his official transition from the PDP to the APC, aligning with ongoing political developments and his future political ambitions within Osun State.
Honorable Wole Oke tendered an apology and extended an invitation to those APC members he had previously brought into the PDP in Osun State.
He asked all his followers to proceed with registering with the APC in their respective wards. He reiterated that Esa Oke is the home of the progressives.
