JUST IN: Three Prominent Commissioners Resign In Obaseki Led Cabinet In Edo

Three commissioners have resigned their appointments under the Governor Godwin Obaseki led cabinet in Edo State on Monday, July 27, 2020.

The three are, Hon Osamwonyi Atu, Hon Emmanuel Odigie, Alhaji Rilwanu Oshiomhole.

In welcoming the commissioners, the All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant for the Edo State governorship election in Edo State, Pastor Ize-Iyamu said,

“I consider their courageous resignation a milestone in the journey to move Edo state forward, change the present deceitful government, and install a government that will truly represent the people.”

“The present situation in the State where Commissioners and aides are abandoning the government in drove, as opposed to the familiar situation of jostling for appointments, is a clear indication that the Governor has failed and will be soundly defeated at the polls.”

Mr. Osamwonyi Atu who represented Orhionmwon, a major oil-producing area of Edo State, narrated how the Governor deprived several communities in the area of badly-needed projects and infrastructure that were budgeted for.

Prince Emmanuel Odigie who represented Esan land, Edo Central Senatorial District, corroborated the obvious fact that the Governor’s much-touted ‘Esan agenda’ is a deceitful claim designed only to obtain votes because in the four years he has been at the helm, the Governor has done nothing to empower the Esan people and bring development to the region.

Mr. Rilwanu Oshiomhole of Edo North also narrated the Governor’s exclusive and detrimental focus on the victimization of persons and the tyrannical attempt to impose his personal political choice on all instead of continuing the mandate he was elected to uphold.

Pastor Ize-Iyamu stated further that,
