
Kwara governor visits soldiers ambushed by bandits – Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has visited soldiers who were injured after bandits ambushed military personnel in the state, an attack that claimed the lives of three soldiers.
The governor visited the wounded troops at a hospital on Tuesday. During the visit, he sympathised with the families of the deceased soldiers and urged Nigerians to support the military in the fight against insecurity.

Kwara governor visits soldiers ambushed by bandits: Governor Condoles Families of Fallen Soldiers
Governor AbdulRazaq expressed sadness over the loss of the soldiers. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of those receiving treatment at the hospital.
According to him, security personnel continue to make huge sacrifices to protect Nigerians. Therefore, citizens must support them in every possible way.
The governor confirmed that three soldiers died in the ambush, while three others sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical care.
He also assured that the Kwara State Government would support the families of the fallen soldiers and assist the injured personnel.

During the visit, Governor AbdulRazaq announced financial support for the affected soldiers and their families.
He stated that each family of the fallen soldiers would receive N20 million. In addition, each injured soldier would receive N5 million as immediate assistance.
The governor explained that the support would serve as a temporary relief while the Ministry of Defence and other authorities provide further assistance.
“We are here to visit the soldiers who were ambushed by bandits. Unfortunately, we lost three of them, and three are currently receiving treatment in the hospital. We pray for them and support the families of those who died,” he said.
Governor Warns Against Leaking Military Information
Furthermore, the governor warned Nigerians against leaking military information or troop movements.
He described such actions as sabotage, noting that bandits often rely on informants to plan attacks on security personnel.
Therefore, he urged residents to cooperate with security agencies by providing useful intelligence while avoiding actions that could endanger military operations.
Call for Public Support for Military
Governor AbdulRazaq praised the Nigerian Army and other security agencies for their dedication to protecting lives and property.
He stressed that the sacrifice of the military should not be taken for granted. In addition, he called on Nigerians to support troops through prayers, cooperation, and information sharing.
The hospital visit was attended by senior military officers, including the Commander of the 22 Armoured Brigade and the Chief Medical Director of the hospital.
Overall, the visit aimed to boost the morale of the troops and show appreciation for their service to the nation.
