FORMER Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has debunked his reported defection to the African Democratic Party, ADC.
In a message on his official X (Twitter) account available to SOJ WORLDWIDE on Sunday, August 10, 2025, Ambode said he remained steadfast in his commitment to supporting the incumbent President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He added that he was confident that in another four years “Nigerians will have more reasons to celebrate collective progress.”
“As we look toward the 2027 general elections, I remain steadfast in my commitment to supporting President Tinubu’s re-election.
I am confident that, with another four years, Nigerians will have more reasons to celebrate our collective progress.
My dedication to his vision and aspirations for our nation remains unwavering.”
Meanwhile, a support group, ADC Vanguard has apologized to the former Governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and Akinwunmi Ambode for the embarrassment caused over the reported news.
According to ADC Vanguard, they have found out that the information is not correct, therefore, the story has been pulled down.
