The Ogun State Police Command has recently traced, and arrested a man identified as Adeyemi Babatunde, who has been on the run after he killed a man with his car.
According to the details of the report, that was released by the Public Relations Officer Of the Ogun State Police Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, the 26 year old suspect, Adeyemi killed the 46 year old victim (Obafunsho Ismail) on the 8th of December, 2022 and he had been hiding since then.
It was said that on the day of the incident, around 8pm, the suspect hit the victim’s car from behind, but he refused to come out of his car to settle the issue. The victim sat on his bonnet to prevent him from leaving, but he threatened to crush him with his car if he did not come down.

The suspect (Adeyemi) then entered his car, drove with speed, which made Ismail fell off the car and he ran over him. The victim would have survived the incident, but the suspect reversed the car and ran over him again, before leaving the scene.
On 20th December, 2022, the suspect was later traced to his father’s house in Kemta Idi-aba in Abeokuta, Ogun State, where he was arrested and the car he used to kill the victim was seized, and taken to a police station. The suspect was also transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for more investigation.
