The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) Southwest Zone proudly announces the establishment of a cutting-edge Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Conversion Centre at Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo.

 

This pioneering project, driven by Hon. Kevin Solomon Olaolu (KSO), Senior Special Assistant to the Ondo State Governor on Student Affairs, showcases his commitment to student-focused development.

Under the leadership of NAPS Southwest Coordinator Comr. Obasanya Monday Johnson (MLEX), the project aligns with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda, promoting sustainable energy and technical education.

The Centre will provide students with hands-on training in automotive gas technology, enhancing their employability and entrepreneurial skills.

 

Scheduled for completion and commissioning next month, the CNG Conversion Centre is expected to serve as a model for similar projects across the region.

 

NAPS Southwest Zone appreciates the collaborative efforts of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic’s management and the Students’ Union Government (SUG) President, Comr. Shane Thompson.
