The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and its affiliate unions have issued a memo announcing the commencement of a nationwide strike starting from the early hours of Thursday to protest the delay in fixing a new minimum wage for public servants.
The various unions had issued a 14-day ultimatum threatening to embark on strike if Government fails amend the minimum wage.
NLC’s General Secretary, Peter Ozo-Eson, issued the union said labour will commence strike from midnight of Wednesday.
