The Forum of Enugu 2019 Governorship Candidates has dispelled rumour of abandonment between the Forum and the Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi in the state.

In a Press Statement signed by the Publicity Secretary of the group Hon. Chigozie Okonkwo made available to SOJ WORLDWIDE ONLINE NEWS, Mr Okonkwo said,
“…there’s no misunderstanding between the Forum and His Excellency the Governor, saying that they have a very cordial relationship between them.”

During an Emergency Meeting of the Executives of the Forum of Enugu 2019 Governorship Candidates convened on Wednesday in Enugu to review their discussions at the Last Meeting.
The Forum agreed that the Executive Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has undoubtedly provided good and quality leadership to Ndi Enugu and deserves the continuous and unalloyed support of the Forum. Hence their resolve to continually support the Governor’s administration.

The group further appealed to the Governor to carry the members of the Forum along in his all inclusive governance while noting their abilities to contribute positively to the success of the Administration in the State.
The Publicity Secretary of the group Hon. Chigozie Okonkwo told the newsmen after the meeting that there’s no misunderstanding between the Forum and His Excellency the Governor, saying that they have a very cordial relationship between them.

Also, when asked to comment on the development, considering their alleged U-turn from their last meeting’s decision. The Leader of the Forum Obioma Nnamani reassured that there’s no ill-feeling between the Forum and the Enugu Governor. He further stated that the group will continue to support the Administration of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State.”
