Ojudu, 10 others suspended as crisis hits Ekiti APC


The Ekiti State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is enmeshed in a fresh crisis that could tear the ruling party apart.

On Thursday, September 24, 2020, the Senior Special Assistant on Political Matters to the President, Mr Babafemi Ojudu and 10 others were placed on indefinite suspension.

The suspension was contained in a letter dated September 23, 2020 signed by the Ekiti State Publicity Secretary of APC, Hon Ade Ajayi.

According to the contents of the letter, the party leaders were suspended for “disobedience to the National Executive Committee (NEC)” and for their refusal to “withdraw existing cases in court” against the party.

List of of the party leaders suspended includes,

1)  Mr Babafemi Ojudu

2). Engineer Ayo Ajibade

3). Hon Oyetunde Ojo

4)  Hon Femi Adeleye

5). Chief Akin Akomolafe (AKDG)

6)  Akogun Bunmi Ogunleye

7)  Omooba Bamigboye Adegoroye

8). Dr. Wole Oluyede

9). Mr. Olusoga Owoeye

10). Mr. Dele Afolabi

11). Barr. Toyin Oluwasola

They were believed to be loyalists of the National Leader of APC, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu.
