ONDO, KOGI STATES ON HIGH ALERT: DSS Uncovers Plot For Bloody Terrorist Attacks

THE Department of State Services, DSS has alert the Brigade Commander, 32 Artillery Brigade, Nigerian Army Corps of Artillery, Owena Cantonment, Akure of imminent repeat of coordinated terrorist attacks across Ondo and Kogi States.

In a strong worded statement available to SOJ WORLDWIDE, the attacks is to be carried out by the dreaded ISWAP terrorists in some communities in Kogi and Ondo States.

“IMMINENT ATTACKS IN ONDO STATE BY MEMBERS OF ISWAP

Intelligence confirmed plans by members of Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists group to carry out coordinated attacks on communities in Ondo and Kogi States anytime soon.

Some identified target locations within Ondo State include, Eriti Akoko, Oyin Akoko communities in Akoko North West LGA and Owo town in Owo LGA respectively.

2. It was further gathered that the groups have commenced surveillance on potential soft targets in the above mentioned locations. Consequently, there is need to scale up the level of security alertness in the various communities to forestall any untoward situation.

It would be recalled that gunmen on Sunday morning of June 5, 2022 a mass shooting and bomb attack occurred at a Catholic church in the city of Owo in Ondo State, Nigeria. At least 40 people were killed including women and children.
