OSUN Farmer goes on hunger strike over poison of his goats, snails worth over N5m (SEE PHOTOS+DETAILS)

THIS is not the best of times for the CEO of Dominion Farms, Mr. Jacob Akingboye Igbekele whose animals and snails worth over N5,000,000 died same day at his farm in Kajola area of Osun State last week.

According to Igbekele who suspected a foul play told SOJ WORLDWIDE ONLINE NEWS correspondent that his animals and snails he has been rearing for sometime while waiting for harvesting died same day leading him to suspicion that some envious people must have poisoned the animals overnight.

When asked if he suspected anyone, he said he could not but said it was the handiwork of evil minded people.

According to him, it took the efforts of good Samaritans to bring him back to life as he fainted when he saw his entire animals and snails dead when he visited his farm early in the morning.

Igbeke said,

“Today make it third day I have not eaten any food but just take only water.

The CEO of Dominion farms lamented as he spoke with our correspondent.

He is said to be fighting depression daily since the incident happened.

“Having seek support from friends and family to stand back on feet but no help was forthcoming .”

“Yet people still advise me to stay calm and wait on God’s mercy”, he said .

He added that he applied for loans from several banks but disbursement was not forthcoming even after meeting all loan requirements.

He is urging all and sundry to support him to stand back on his feet for his business to bounce back again.

Igbekele who is a University graduate decided to go into farming business having waited employment for several years without any headway.
