The Osun State Police Command has debunked rumours making the rounds that killer Fulani Herdsmen have invaded Ofatedo area of Osogbo, Osun State capital.

In a Press Release by the Osun State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Opalola Yemisi Olawoyin made available to SOJ WORLDWIDE, http://www.sojworldnews.com said,
“…the Commissioner of Police wishes to clear the air and state unequivocally that the news/rumours being peddled are false alarm, a calculated attempt to create apprehension of fear and State of insecurity in the State; therefore it should be disregarded.”

OSUN STATE POLICE COMMAND DEBUNKS NEWS MAKING THE ROUND THAT SOME SUSPECTED FULANI HERDSMEN/BANDITS INVADED OFATEDO AREA OF THE STATE
The attention of the Commissioner of Police, Osun State Command, CP Olawale Olokode, psc has been drawn to the news/rumours making the round that some suspected Fulani herdsmen invaded/attacked Ofatedo Area of
the State.

The Commissioner of Police in company of the Special Adviser on Security to the Governor, CP Abiodun Ige (rtd) personally paid on the spot assessment to the area to ascertain the authenticity of the news being speculated but found out that it was false and untrue.
Consequently, the Commissioner of Police wishes to clear the air and state unequivocally that the news/rumours being peddled are false alarm, a calculated attempt to create apprehension of fear and State of insecurity in the State; therefore it should be disregarded.
The CP wishes to assure the entire State of adequate security coverage and enjoined the general public to go about their legitimate businesses without any fear of attack or invasion.
He also advised the citizenry, especially rumour mongers/social media users to jettison such habit and eschew anything that could truncate the peace being enjoyed in the State.
