THE Osun State Government has declared Wednesday, August 20, 2025 Public Holiday to celebrate ISESE Day.
This was contained in a Press Release by the Honourable Commissioner Home Affairs, Abdul Aderibigbe available to SOJ WORLDWIDE.
“Osun State Government is pleased to announce that Wednesday, August 20th 2025 will be observed as a Public Holiday to enable Traditional Religion Worshippers throughout the State participate in the 2025 celebration of Isese Festival.

This decision according to His Excellency reflects government commitment to recognizing and honouring the cultural heritage and traditions of the people of the State and promote cultural awareness and unity among the people.
Consequently, the Executive Governor of Osun State Senator (Dr.) Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke felicitates with the faithfuls of traditional religion worshippers and extends his best wishes to them for a joyous and memorable Isese Festival.
However, he urges all citizens especially the traditional religions worshippers to enjoy the celebrations of Isese Festival while, adhering to all laws and regulations so as to maintain peace, order and respect for others during the festivities.”
