Paul Pogba has even criticized his own bad play after Brighton & Hove Albion defeated Manchester United 3-2 at the AMEX Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Glenn Murray and Shane Duffy scored within two minutes of each other to catch Man United by surprise before Romelu Lukaku headed Jose Mourinho’s side back into the game with 10 left on the clock in the first half.
Pascal Gross’ 44th-minute penalty destroyed United’s momentum though and set up a frustrating second half in which Paul Pogba netted his second goal of the season at the dying minutes of the match, and his second from the penalty spot was the only notable highlight.

Speaking after the defeat, the french man explained how Manchester United didn’t deserve the win and the attitude, including his own, wasn’t where it should’ve been: “Obviously [I’m] disappointed [but] I will always try.
“I will keep pushing, that is my personality. It did not happen today but I will always try to help the team. It is a big lesson for us for the next game”.
“What happened today is that we lost. From the start we didn’t deserve to win. We play against a smaller club but that attitude that we have wasn’t like we wanted to beat them.
“I put myself forward primarily, my attitude wasn’t good enough.”

The gutless manner of the defeat raises the question of whether the squad are playing for Mourinho anymore and Paul Pogba was one of the players heavily linked with a move away during the summer.
Next Monday presents a huge test for United with Tottenham Hotspur travelling to Old Trafford, where a win should be seen as a priority if the club are to avoid slipping away from the leading pack in this season’s Premier League title race.
