SENATOR Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, representing Osun East Senatorial District, has urged Nigerians, particularly youths in Osun State, to take up farming as a means to achieve food security and economic stability.
He emphasized that agriculture is the most reliable solution to rising food costs and unemployment.
Fadahunsi, who is also a farmer, encouraged everyone to engage in farming, stressing that it would help alleviate hunger and promote rational thinking.

He noted that some areas in Osun are still dominated by non-indigenes in farming and urged local youths to take advantage of available farmlands and government-backed initiatives.
The Senator assured that food prices would drop before the end of the year due to the federal government’s renewed investment in agriculture and lawmakers’ efforts to support farmers.
He revealed that more food palliatives, including rice, would be distributed in the coming weeks.
Beyond farming, Fadahunsi highlighted the importance of Continuous Voter Registration, urging residents, including farmers and settlers in his senatorial district, to participate massively in the exercise.
He emphasized that registering to vote is crucial for ensuring that the voices of farmers and rural communities are well-represented in governance.
Fadahunsi assured that he has been actively involved in mobilizing his people for the voter registration exercise, with representatives deployed to supervise and submit regular status reports.

He noted that stakeholders, including monarchs and community leaders, are actively engaged to facilitate the process.
The Senator urged Hausa farmers, Fulani herdsmen, and other settlers in the community to participate in the voter registration process, emphasizing that registering to vote is essential for belonging and being represented.
