Juan Mata looks set to leave Manchester United having gone down the pecking order at the club, the Spanish midfielder could leave the club and return to his former club Valencia next summer, where he could be a regular starter.
The midfielder spent 4 seasons at Valencia before securing a move to Chelsea on 24 August 2011.
Mata scored 33 goals and provided 58 assists in 135 appearances over two-and-a-half seasons with Chelsea, also won the club’s Player of the year twice.

On 24 January 2014, Chelsea then coach Jose Mourinho said the club had accepted a transfer offer from Manchester United and allowed Mata to travel to Manchester to undergo a medical, after the player said he was really happy to go. Manchester United confirmed later in the day that a transfer fee had been agreed, but that the deal was still contingent on Mata agreeing personal terms and passing a medical. The transfer was completed the following day, with Manchester United paying Chelsea a then club record fee of £37.1 million, with Mata signing a contract until the summer of 2018.
Last season, Juan Mata spent more time sitting on bench than on the pitch.

“His deal is up next summer and it looks likely he will leave unless something changes soon.
