Kaduna Command of the State Security Services (SSS) has paraded six persons suspected to be the killers of the Agwom Adara, Maiwada Galadima of Adara chiefdom.

Parading the suspects at their office in Kaduna, Director, SSS, Kaduna command, Mahmud Ningi said 20 suspects were involved in the kidnap and killing of the paramount ruler.

He said six have been arrested while the remaining are at large saying, “Security agencies are on their trail.”
He noted that the Service has been tracking activities of the criminals during the negotiation, but could not effect arrest because the safety of the victims was paramount.
“Immediately Galadima’s body was discovered; the Service tracked and arrested six members of the syndicate at different locations in the state” he said.
“During preliminary interrogation, they made confessional statements about their involvement in the crime.
“Adamu Sani, 36 was arrested on 31st October, 2018 along Shanono road, Rigasa, Igabi LGA. He is the mastermind of the operation. Adamu Saidu, 25 was also arrested on 31st October, 2018 at Soba.
He is also marked a Boko Haram member.
“Adamu Isya, 20, has been involved in cattle rustling for over five years. He was invited to participate in the operation by Adamu Saidu. Yusuf Bello, 32 was arrested on 29th October, 2018 at Sakwai, Kachia, LGA. He hosted Saidu and his friends when they were planning the operation. Dahiru Muhammad Bello, 28, was also arrested on 29th October, 2018 alongside his brother Yusuf Bello. He accommodates the mastermind anytime he visited.
“Mohammed Aminu is the syndicate arm supplier; he was arrested on 5th November, 2018 and led the operatives to his house in Jos, Plateau state where eight locally made Dane gums were recovered. However, because of jurisdiction, the accomplices and recovered weapons have been handed over to the Plateau state command for further investigation.”
He assured that the Service will ensure proper prosecution of the suspects, while efforts are being made to arrest other members of the gang.
He appreciated the military and all other security agencies for providing the necessary support during all the operations.
It would be recalled that the late traditional ruler was abducted on Friday, October 19, 2018 with his wife, which sparked the violence in Kasuwan Magani, that later spread to some parts of the State.
Then he was later killed by his alleged abductors after ransom was paid for his release, which triggered fresh violence despite security deployments and curfew declared in the State.
