The VeryDarkMan B-Red row deepened after the activist questioned two endorsement cheques linked to the singer. B-Red is a son of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke. The row follows online debate over a Lamborghini Urus, reportedly worth hundreds of millions of naira. Some people claimed B-Red bought it with endorsement money. Reports say Armstrong Paints signed him for ₦200 million in February 2025. Evermark Homes reportedly followed with ₦300 million around July 2025. Together, the two deals total ₦500 million.
What VeryDarkMan alleges
| First deal | Armstrong Paints, ₦200 million, February 2025 |
| Second deal | Evermark Homes, ₦300 million, around July 2025 |
| His main claim | Both cheques carry the same serial number |
| His demand | An explanation from the bank, FCMB, and from B-Red |
| Status | Unverified, with no reply from those named |
In the video, VeryDarkMan zoomed in on both oversized cheques. He said the serial numbers look the same. According to him, two different companies cannot issue cheques with one serial number months apart. He therefore asked FCMB to explain.
VeryDarkMan went further. He described the deals as a smokescreen and alleged money laundering. He also claimed that government money was involved. Notably, he offered no evidence for that claim in the video. Reports also note that the controversy has not shown that public funds paid for the car.
He raised another issue as well. He said Evermark Homes owes people who invested in its real estate. Therefore, he asked how the company could fund a ₦300 million deal. Likewise, he asked Armstrong Paints to show its yearly profit.
Meanwhile, some online users have asked whether the cheques were ceremonial props. Oversized cheques are common at endorsement unveilings. In addition, no independent check has confirmed either side. Gistlover reported that the endorsement and car claims remain unverified.
Sojworldnews could not find a response from B-Red, the Adeleke family, Armstrong Paints, Evermark Homes or FCMB. We will update this story if they reply.
