The World Institute for Peace (WIP) is prepared to host its Annual international Peace Conference tagged “World Peace Conference and Award Nigeria 2025″
This was made known in a Press Release signed by the Executive Director of the World Institute of Peace (WIP), Comrade Lamina Omotoyosi available to SOJ WORLDWIDE on Saturday, June 7, 2025.
Among the event lined up to celebrate 2025 program is the Award of Excellence to the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) of the Nigerian Armed Forces, General Christopher Gwabim Musa.
He is to be honoured with the highest award, titled; “The Bearer Of Security Torch TSBT” with the launching of a book, “Fundamentals of Peace Education and Sustainable Solutions To Insecurity In Nigeria: General CG Musa’s Perspectives”.

The Special Guests of Honour of the day includes, His Excellency, Ambassador to the Republic of Benin and former Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General General Tukur Yusufu Buratai (Rtd) CFR and the former Chief of Policy and Plans of the Nigerian Army, Lt. General Lamidi O. Adeosun (Rtd).
The event will feature Guest Speakers including Professor Mahfouz Adedimeji, Vice Chancellor of the African School of Economics, Abuja, and Professor Joy Chinwe Eyisi, the first female Deputy Vice Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria.
There will also be contributions from the Ambassadors of the World Institute for Peace from various countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Italy, India, Greece, and Belgium.
The Royal Father of the day includes, His Royal Majesty, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, Laminisa I, Timi of Ede and His Royal Majesty, Oba Ademola Ajibola Julius, Olusin of Ijara-Isin.
Also expected to grace the annual event are, Pastor Hillary Chukwuma, Mr. Oluwafeyijinmi Oyinlola and Alhaji Muhthior Aburagbaja, they will be honored as Knights of World Peace (KWP).
Other distinguished awardees include Alhaja Medinat Hamzat and Mrs. Adeyoju Adebimpe Lucia-Fagbohun, among others.
The event will hold at The Nigerian Army Resource Center, FCT, Abuja.
The commencement of the program is 3.00pm.
