The National Publicity Secretary of the Asiwaju Grassroots Foundation (AGF), Adebayo, in his Press Release, on Wednesday made available to SOJ WORLDWIDE, http://www.sojworldnews.com said,

“Oyo Governor was no doubt intimidated by the caliber of people that stormed Ibadan yesterday to seek support and canvassed for Yoruba Presidency ahead of 2023, the acceptance given to them and their course by the Alaafin of Oyo; Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, Olubadan of Ibadanland and the entire people of Ibadan shocked the governor and his allies, hence he resorted to using restructuring as blackmail out of frustration. Having lost the Ondo State gubernatorial election to the All Progressives Congress, APC earlier this year, Seyi Makinde has lost out completely in the scheming of Vice Presidency ahead of 2023 as he spent fortune of Oyo State tax payers’ money to prosecute the election all because he had wanted to use the Ondo poll as a negotiating tool for Vice Presidency under his dead, waiting to be buried PDP, hence he is full of envy for those clamouring for Yoruba Presidency.”

Then National Publicity Secretary, Asiwaju Grassroots Foundation, AGF; Comrade Adeboye Adebayo has described the governor of Oyo State, Mr. Seyi Makinde as a mischief maker and unpatriotic political leader in Yoruba land.

Adebayo was apparently reacting to the statement credited to the governor during the presentation of Motorbikes and vehicles to Amotekun Security Network of Oyo State in Ibadan, where he said what Nigeria needed now is Restructuring and not Yoruba Presidency.

In a statement released in Ibadan today, Adebayo described the governor’s statement as mischievous and said the governor is unpatriotic to Yoruba course.

“I read carefully the statement credited to the Oyo State governor; Seyi Makinde earlier today in the media and I found the statement mischievous and portends Mr. Governor as an patriotic political leader who is full of envy and frustration” Adebayo said.

According to APC Chieftain “Oyo Governor was no doubt intimidated by the caliber of people that stormed Ibadan yesterday to seek support and canvassed for Yoruba Presidency ahead of 2023, the acceptance given to them and their course by the Alaafin of Oyo; Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, Olubadan of Ibadanland and the entire people of Ibadan shocked the governor and his allies, hence he resulted to using restructuring as blackmail out of frustration. Adebayo said “Also the august visit of Former Governor of Oyo State; Chief Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his Lagos House added salt to Seyi Makinde’s injury as he has betrayed the trust that brought him to office through the coalition as led by Chief Rasheed Ladoja, hence his chances for second term is dimming by the day. I understand his frustration and anger but it is not too late for him as he can retrace his steps and begs his leaders maybe he will be considered for second term in Oyo State now that he has completely been schemed of Vice Presidency in PDP ahead of 2013”

He then commended the leadership of South West Agenda 2020 led Senator Dayo Adeyeye, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, Senator Soji Akanbi, Hon Rotimi Makinde and host of others for their patriotic political moves ahead of 2023.

Adebayo who is in Ibadan to attend the Planning Committee Meeting of Pan Yoruba Summit that will hold on January 21st, 2021 at International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, urged patriotic Nigerians of Yoruba extraction to support the clamour and realisation of Yoruba Presidency in 2023.

“Seyi Makinde can never be a better advocate of restructuring than our leaders like Chief Bisi Akande, Chief Segun Osoba, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Chief Oladosu Oladipo, Alhaji Tajudeen Olusi among others, hence Restructuring is very ideal and Yoruba Presidency is sacrosanct, hence they are two different things. Mr. Seyi Makinde should note and stop venting his anger and frustration on good and patriotic Yorubas who are clamouring for the best for their region ahead 2023” Adebayo concluded.
