Alleged identity theft Kogi State — A woman has alleged identity theft and impersonation in a shocking employment case.

She claims another woman has worked with her documents for about 17 years.

The incident reportedly began in June 2008 in Kogi State.

A man who introduced himself as an education secretary helped her get a teaching job.

She said she worked for four months and received salary normally.

Later, one month salary did not arrive.

She contacted the man immediately.

She was told her appointment had been terminated.

She then returned to her family house in disappointment.

The woman also made another serious allegation.

She said the same man later visited her family again.

He collected her original documents after pleading from her father.

Her father trusted him and believed the job would be restored.

The documents were returned one week later.

She was told the job could not be recovered.

Years later, she discovered something disturbing.

Her documents were allegedly used for another woman’s employment.

That woman has reportedly worked under her identity for 17 years.

This raises serious concerns about identity theft and impersonation.

It also raises questions about recruitment fraud in public service.
