The Director General of the Asiwaju Political Movement (APM), Comrade Madiba Monday Ledum, has commended the Nigerian Armed Forces for their outstanding courage and professionalism during the successful rescue of 76 hostages, including women and children, in Pauwa Hill, Katsina State. He described the operation as a “major victory” in the fight against terrorism, banditry, and insecurity across the country.
The Director General of the Asiwaju Political Movement (APM), Comrade Madiba Monday Ledum, has praised the Nigerian Armed Forces for their successful rescue of 76 hostages, including women and children, in Pauwa Hill, Katsina State. He described the operation as a “major victory” in the fight against terrorism and banditry.
Speaking in Abuja today, Comrade Ledum said the operation showcased the commitment and strategic focus of the military in safeguarding the lives and property of Nigerians.
He specifically applauded the gallant efforts of the Nigerian Air Force and the ground troops who executed the rescue mission with precision and professionalism, ensuring minimal collateral damage while neutralizing the terrorists’ stronghold.
The APM Director General also seized the opportunity to commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his “giant strides in strengthening the nation’s security architecture”.
According to him, the President’s reforms and strategic investments in military hardware, personnel training, and intelligence gathering are beginning to yield tangible results, as reflected in the success of recent operations across the country.
“The rescue of 76 innocent hostages, including children, demonstrates the Tinubu administration’s firm resolve to restore peace and stability in every corner of our nation,” Comrade Ledum stated. “We salute Mr. President for his visionary leadership and his continuous support for our security agencies to deliver on their constitutional mandate.”
Comrade Ledum further assured the Federal Government of the total support of the Asiwaju Political Movement in its ongoing efforts to consolidate security gains and advance national development. He emphasized that APM, as a pro-democracy and grassroots mobilization platform, will continue to work tirelessly to promote unity, peace, and stability across the federation.
In addition, the APM DG reiterated the group’s unwavering endorsement of President Tinubu’s second-term ambition, describing him as “a transformational leader with a clear vision for Nigeria’s greatness.” He pledged that the APM would mobilize massive grassroots support nationwide to ensure the continuity of the administration’s reforms and policies beyond 2027.
Comrade Ledum called on Nigerians to remain steadfast in their support for the Armed Forces, security agencies, and the Federal Government, stressing that the fight against insecurity requires collective responsibility. He urged citizens to contribute through intelligence sharing, community vigilance, and cooperation with law enforcement authorities.
