The leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sheikh  Ibrahim and his wife and his wife has been granted to travel abroad for medical treatment.

The court held that the IMN leader and his wife would be accompanied by officials of the Kaduna State Government for their treatment abroad.

The police had earlier tightened security surveillance in Kaduna ahead of the judgement that was delivered on Monday.

The release of the Shiite will douse the tension in the country that had been rave of the moment in the past weeks.
