The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has described the leaked report of the Lagos State panel as fake.

The minister spoke at a news conference in Abuja.

The Lagos Judicial Panel had released a damning report on the Lekki Tollgate shooting, indicting the army and the police of killing unarmed protesters.

The panel said the army and police shot and killed about 11 protesters at the tollgate and injured several others.

The panel likened the shooting and killing to a massacre.

But the minister said the report is just tales by moonlight and should be ignored.

According to the minister, it was shocking that the same allegations made by Nigerians were merely compiled and submitted as a report by the panel set up to investigate the claims of police brutality.

He said the report represents an intimidation of the majority by a minority.
