The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has congratulated Senator Daisy Danjuma, wife of former Chief of Army Staff, retired Lieutenant General Theophilus Danjuma, as she turns clocks 70 on Saturday 6th August 2022.
The president’s media aide, Garba Shehu, in a statement on Friday in Abuja, said the president praised her commitment to a better living standard for the less privileged.
Buhari made this known in a congratulatory letter to the celebrant personally signed by him.
“I also note that your passion for this cause was further reinforced during your period in the National Assembly between 2003 and 2007 where you served as the Chairperson, Senate Committee on Women Affairs and Youth Development.’’
Danjuma was a Member, Senate Committees on Health, Education, Finance and Land, as well as Member of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association and Chairperson, Women and Child Right Committee of the Economic Community of West African States parliament.
The president saluted Danjuma for her courage and steadfastness.
