Watch Highlights: Chelsea Thrash Bournemouth 5-1 as Henderson and Pedro Score Twice
Chelsea thrashed Bournemouth 5-1 in the Premier League on Saturday, October 10, 2026. Jordan Henderson and Joao Pedro scored two goals each, while Morgan Rogers added another. As a result, the Chelsea Bournemouth highlights show a dominant display from the first whistle to the last.
The match started at a frantic pace. Henderson put Chelsea ahead in the second minute, and Rogers doubled the lead one minute later. Bournemouth had barely settled when they found themselves two goals down. Consequently, the visitors spent the rest of the first half trying to recover their shape and composure.
Meanwhile, the Cherries struggled to slow the game down. They collected a yellow card in the 10th minute and another in the 42nd. Chelsea, on the other hand, controlled the key moments and kept the visitors under pressure. Moreover, the home side went into the break with a comfortable two-goal cushion.
The second half began just as badly for Bournemouth. Pedro struck in the 46th minute, only seconds after the restart, to make it 3-0. Furthermore, the visitors made a change at the break, but the substitution did not stop the damage. The hosts looked sharp, direct, and ruthless in front of goal.
However, Bournemouth did show some fight. Evanilson pulled one back in the 51st minute to make it 3-1, and for a short spell the goal gave the visitors hope. Nevertheless, Chelsea refused to sit back. Instead, they pushed forward again and punished the gaps that Bournemouth left behind.
The decisive blows arrived in a three-minute burst. Pedro scored his second in the 67th minute to make it 4-1. Then Henderson completed his brace in the 70th minute to make it 5-1. At that point, the contest was effectively over. Bournemouth also picked up two more yellow cards in the 62nd and 69th minutes, which took their tally to four for the afternoon.
The numbers tell an interesting story. Bournemouth had slightly more possession, with 51 percent of the ball. They also forced seven corners to Chelsea’s one and took nine shots to Chelsea’s seven. Even so, Chelsea made their chances count. They put four of their seven shots on target and converted five goals, which shows how clinical they were.
Both sides used all five of their substitutions. Chelsea made their first two changes in the 72nd minute and added more at the 83rd and 88th minutes. Bournemouth, for their part, made three changes in the 73rd minute and one more in the 84th. Still, the changes did little to alter the outcome.
The win lifts Chelsea after a mixed start to the season, which included defeats to Arsenal and Brentford. Therefore, the 5-1 scoreline offers a timely boost ahead of their trip to Everton next Saturday. For Bournemouth, on the other hand, the heavy defeat raises fresh questions about their discipline and their defensive organisation.
