Dollar to Naira Rate Today, October 12, 2026: Official, Black Market, Pound, Euro and Crypto Prices

The naira held steady against the dollar as the new trading week began on Monday, October 12, 2026. The dollar to naira rate today stands at about ₦1,330 in the official market and ₦1,370 on the parallel market. Meanwhile, Bitcoin and Ethereum edged higher. This report covers the latest figures for all of them.

Legit.ng reported that the naira closed Friday at ₦1,329.51 per dollar in the official market. That level reflects a modest gain from the previous session. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) builds its official rate from a volume-weighted average of market deals. Earlier this month, the rate stayed between ₦1,327 and ₦1,332. As a result, the official window looks calm.

The black market tells a similar story. Aboki Forex quoted the parallel rate at ₦1,370 per dollar on Sunday, October 11. Traders quoted the same level on Thursday. However, other trackers show slightly different figures, which range from ₦1,370 to ₦1,390. Therefore, always confirm the rate with your dealer before you trade.

The gap between the two markets is about ₦40, or roughly 3 percent. In practical terms, $100 costs about ₦133,000 at the official rate and about ₦137,000 on the street. Moreover, reports point to rising external reserves, which have supported confidence in the naira. The dollar to naira rate today therefore shows a narrow spread by recent standards.

The pound and euro need a note of caution. The newest figures we could confirm for both currencies date from late August. At that time, traders sold the pound for ₦1,870 to ₦1,900 and the euro for ₦1,590 to ₦1,620 on the parallel market. Consequently, treat those numbers as a guide, not a quote.

Crypto markets also gained. According to CoinGecko data, Bitcoin traded near $83,850, up 1.1 percent in 24 hours. Ethereum rose 1.5 percent to about $2,542. The total crypto market value stood at $2.9 trillion. In addition, the Fear and Greed Index climbed to 69, which signals greed among traders. Bitcoin’s share of the market remained near 58 percent.

What happens next will depend on oil prices, reserve levels, and central bank signals this week. Traders will also watch whether the parallel rate holds near ₦1,370. In short, the dollar to naira rate today offers a stable start, but the market can shift quickly. This report is for information only and does not count as financial advice.
