This information is mostly for the ‘Old Schools’ who knew when Chief Ebenezer Obey’s residence caught fire when he was on performing tour of the United Kingdom in 1970/when all his instruments were burnt but none of his band members got burnt.

It was in one of his records released he mentioned the name of Alhaji Mutiu Jimoh aka Mutiu Kekere who died at the age of 75 this weekend after battling with a protracted ailment for about five years.
Obey sang in Yoruba, “Mutiu Kekere gbiyanju o se bi okunrin sugbon epa o boro mo” (,Mutiu Kekere tried but the deed had been done)

Mutiu kekere is one of the members of international brothers band of the music icon, Evangelist Ebenezer Obey Fabiyi.
The late Mutiu kekere was remembered for his brave rescuing Ebenezer Obey equipments when the equipments was on fire in America. His drumming skill was also recognized by many before his death.

The 77 years old, Ebenezer Obey has described the death of Mutiu kekere as something very painful. He also sympathized with the family and the children the late drummer.
