Former PFN President, Bishop Lanre Obembe Dies At The Age Of 63

The former President of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and founder of El-Shaddai Bible Church, Archbishop Lanre Obembe died on Tuesday in Lagos at the age of 63.

Bishop Obembe was said to have been battling an undisclosed ailment before he finally breathed his last.

He was a former Chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) Lagos state chapter.

Church leaders confirmed the development to our correspondent but refused to comment, stating his death has not been officially announced.

The Nation reports that his demise has thrown the Christian community into a state of shock with many declaring it unbelievable.

In a Press Release by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, he said,

“The President believes that his footprints would be indelible on the sands of time, and urges all those who mourn the gifted preacher to be comforted by the fact that Obembe served God and man with great zeal, and such labour of love never go unrewarded.

“May his soul rest in peace and his good works be sustained by those he left behind,”
