Four Amotekun operatives critically injured, under intensive care in Ibadan

Four Oyo State Security Network popularly known as Amotekun were attacked by thugs in Odeyale area of Ibadan on Friday, February 5, 2021.

The Amotekun operatives and some policemen were attacked by hoodlums in Odeyale area of Ona Ara Local Government area around noon. They were said to have been attacked with axes, cutlasses and other dangerous weapons.

Four of the operatives were rushed to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan.

Confirming the incident, the Commandant of the corps, Col. Olayinka Olayanju (rtd) in a statement, said the operatives moved to the area following a distress call by Odeyale Community Landlord Association to help dislodge hoodlums perpetrating violence in the community.
